Wow! Lianorm really tore apart the fishing leaderboards this week with an outstanding combined length of 21.38m and an almost 1m lead over the opposition.
I know from my fishing experiences this week that there was some hot competition out there, but everyone rose to the challenge admirably! No less than three Lianorm citizens were in the top 5 player leaderboards and a couple of others placed a little further down. That’s not to say their fishing efforts are any less appreciated though!
Congratulations to you all on an outstanding job done! Remember that it’s double-everything weekend and with this there is also an increased chance to catch real fish instead of junk! So if you can find a little bit of time in between all the instancing, battlefields and pet, chronicles, and invasion grinding, please take advantage of this by throwing a few casts at the nearest pond. 🙂
Thank you all!

I’m really pleased to see all the fishing contributions made each week from not only the regulars, but also a few new faces. Thank you for your efforts!
Good luck for the coming week.

As a citizen of Lianorm you have access to an exclusive chat channel known as City Chat. Presently, it is not used a great deal because most people use their guild chat to keep in touch with each other. However, I would like to bring to your attention that we have some citizens of Lianorm who are not guilded, or are in different guilds. It would be nice if we could keep in touch with them and everyone who is a resident to tighten our community.
For this reason I would like to promote the use of the City Chat channel. All I ask that you make a little effort to say “hello” and “goodbye” in the channel when you log in and out.
To make this easier here are some tips on how to set up your City Chat channel so that you can get the best out of it:
1. Add the channel to your regular chat tabs by right clicking on the tab -> Modify Tab, and making sure that City Chat is in the “Tab Channels” window.
2. Change the colour of the chat. By default it is the same colour green as Guild Chat. This often leads to confusion. I have my city chat a sort of aqua green colour, which works well for me. To change your chat colours to something that suits you, go to your Options -> Chat Colors.
3. You can use the prefix /ci before your message to send a message to the City Chat channel. This is like using /g for groups and /gu for guild chat etc. Alternatively you can set up an alias to use a command of your preference.
So, just a little hello and goodbye will go a long way to promoting the community we have here in our beloved town, and will help everyone to feel more at home. 🙂
